5 Worst Ways to Lose Weight

Going Halfway

Eating healthy, but never exercising? Working out consistently, with nothing in your stomach but a cup of coffee and a biscuit? You can’t go halfway when it comes to weight loss. IT WON’T WORK.

Starving Yourself

Cutting excess calories definitely gives you an edge, but attempting to subsist on little to nothing is not only dangerous to your health, it’s also counterproductive. When you eat far less than you should, your body goes into a sort of “storage mode”. It holds onto your fat for survival’s sake, since it doesn’t think you’ll be eating anytime soon.

This is a one-way ticket to an eating disorder, folks. Don’t go there.

Medical Intervention

This should be a last resort, not something to reach for while you can still lose the weight yourself. Surgery can be dangerous and potentially life-threatening, especially stomach-stapling.

Sure, a lot of people use smoking to control there weight … at the cost of a lung or two. Smoking is no substitute for developing the discipline and know-how needed to lose weight.
